Possums

South Australia is home to five species of possum, the most common found in urban areas is the brushtail and ringtail possums. Due to urbanization possums are often forced to live in close proximity to humans and often find there way into homes ceilings. Whilst this offers great opportunities for residents to observe wildlife going about there business it soon becomes apparent the destruction and chaos that follows. Other than hearing what may be described as dogs playing football in your ceiling, possums cause many other damages that only become apparent once too late to prevent.

Removal & Proofing

Possums are protected and there are laws in place that must be followed. To remove possums you need to acquire a permit or hold a wildlife (controller) permit. They must not be relocated and must be released within the property. At Randalls Pest Management, we carry out a full inspection of the home to determine entry points and repairs required to cease entry. After we carry out repairs, either a possum trap is placed in your ceiling or a one way door installed, with follow up checks to release or inspect until the problem is resolved.
