Cockroaches

Cockroaches are a primitive and highly successful insect. They are beleived to be around 300 million years old. They will typically infest around buildings and other structures providing food, shelter, conditions offering controlled Temperature and humidity. In Australia there are around 400 native species that are not a common urban pest, however there are many indroduced that can spread diseases including salmonellosis, typhoid fever, cholera and dysentery.

Treatments

Much like an ant treatment cockroaches often require a two part treatment depending on the severity of the infestation and species involved. A thorough inspection will determine the species and location of infestation. The most common cockroach treatments require high standard of hygiene and sanitation, powder treatments of walls and roof cavity’s, targeted dusting beneath and behind house hold appliances, internal sprays applied and gel baits strategically placed to take effect on an infestation.
