Bees & Wasps

Bees as well as other pollinating insects play an extremely important role on the planets ecosystem and need to be respected and protected. Unfortunately sometimes bees build new colonies in spaces that are inconvenient, where bee keepers are not able to retrieve them, such as all wall cavity’s and deep in chimneys. If not deterred fast enough a treatment to eliminate the colony is the only viable option. Most commonly found is the European Wasp, they are sometimes confused for bees. They have a bright yellow and black body with yellow legs and triangular markings on their abdomen with black spots either side and tend to be more aggressive than bees. They are generally found in cavities of hollow trees or burrowed into the ground.

Treatments

If you find bees have moved into your home, its' recommended a local bee keeper be contacted to determine if relocation is an option. If this is not possible, a fast and effective treatment can be arranged to eliminate the colony before getting out of hand. European wasps pose significant risks within beekeeping, forestry, and horticulture industries if found treatment is highly recommend.
